We are a church that believes
is here on the earth now, and is getting ready to move in an unprecedented way. Jesus is coming very
soon, and we sense the Lord is drawing many back into His presence as well as releasing a Spirit
of Evangelism whereby millions will give their lives to the Lord in this next move of the Spirit. It is our
desire to do our best to share His Love both at church and in our community, and we are excited to serve
and be part of what God is doing in this hour on the earth.

Pastors Blaire & Katie Clinton
Blaire Clinton, lead pastor of Church in the Vine, along with Marc Bertoni, beloved church member, left Edmonton April 14th for Iquitos, Peru, situated at the mouth of the Amazon River. Both pastors, Blaire and Katie Clinton, were in Peru in 2013 and lived several months in the Amazon jungle. This was the second directly sponsored mission trip from Church in the Vine, which last year included the construction of our new ministry river boat "MERCY." This year, the ministry continued as the vision that God had given regarding the building of a bible training centre began its next phase of development, which was to garner support from local ministries as well as forge a working relationship with M.E.P.I., a bible school and church planting Pentecostal organization, working primarily within the city of Iquitos. The idea was to engage M.E.P.I and share the vision of building a training centre in the jungle, which would in turn provide biblical training for pastors living several hours up river. Contact with M.E.P.I had been established prior to our visit by Joe (Pepe) Miller, who has been our representative and boots on the ground in Peru. We realized that having a fairly local partner regarding the actual support of the training centre would be vital, so to be able to connect with M.E.P.I through Pepe's efforts and the leading of the Spirit of God was huge. This was the first meeting that took place, and we were received very well. We are currently ratifying the documents and preparing for the formal agreement which will bring us one step further to offering Spirit-filled curriculum (in Spanish) along with Spirit-filled Peruvian teachers helping with the actual teaching of the upriver students.
During 2013, Pastor Blaire and Katie spent much of that year in the Amazon as missionaries, working amongst the people in the villages of the Amazon River. And it was during that time it became very apparent that God was calling them to continue that work, as the Lord began to lay out a very specific vision for that area of the Amazon, that being the construction of a Christian Bible Training and Equipping Centre, located right there in the Amazon jungle!! Although a lot of the villages had been exposed to the gospel in the last 100 years, the truth of the matter is very few of the actual ministries that came to share the message of Christ, spent any real time in terms of training and discipling in the villages, and if they did in the beginning, all that can be said of the condition of the field now is one of "filled with weeds." The neglect over the years has brought about a warped version of the gospel resembling more of paganism, as they have blended parts of Christianity with Animistic beliefs.
Its Absolutely All About Prayer!
Its absolutely vital to the life of the church, to get together and pray. In fact the church that does not pray, is a powerless church and shouldn't expect much in terms of the Lord moving in it's midst. A church that prays together stays together! Do you believe that? Well if you consider the alternative, a church that doesn't pray together, what's the glue that'll keep them together during times of trial and tribulations? Can we really expect God to move without us really desiring Him, without us truly crying out to Him?
"...if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek and turn from their sinful ways, then will I hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land." 2 Chron 7:14
